It’s now time to begin preparing your releases for delivery to the digital services and your Greedbag store. Your label should now be set up and you should have either received or requested access to our FTP server.
Please make sure your music meets our editorial policy.
The first thing you’ll need to understand is what type of audio files you should have ready for delivery. Follow the instructions here for information on what audio files we can accept.
Once you’ve got your audio files ready, you can begin to prepare the metadata. Instructions on what you need to supply, along with links to download the templates are here.
Make sure you work to the iTunes Style Guide.
Tips on capitalisation are here.
Now you have your audio files and metadata ready, it’s time to check that your artwork meets the minimum requirements for digital distribution here.
Naming your Files
Now you have all your assets ready for delivery, ensure they’re all named according to the standards explained here.
If you have a Greedbag store, you will need to send us a metadata sheet for each format you are releasing on, e.g. CD, vinyl and digital.
Make sure you group these formats together by using the same Grouping ID on your metadata sheet.
Send Us Your Music!
It’s now time to get your releases over to us!
We can only accept releases delivered to us via FTP (File Transfer Protocol). It’s a reliable system for sending large files which can be accessed by our team and sent on their way to the digital services.
You should have already received your login details for our ftp server, either via email or by clicking on the relevant link in the back-end of your Greedbag store. For tips and instructions on how to use Cyberduck, click here.
All done? Fill out the form below to let us know you have a release ready for delivery and one of our team will pick it up and let you know when it’s been successfully delivered.
