Dan Michaelson and The Coastguards will release their new single ‘Bones’ through The state51 Conspiracy on 17th November. ‘Bones’ is the second single to be taken from Michaelson’s highly-praised, fifth album ‘Distance’, which features in FOPP’s ‘Albums of 2014’ poll. Typical of the record, Dan offers a sober reflection whilst his band The Coastguards provide a rich bed of piano, cello, pedal steel, wind brushed drums and bass. “When you feel that love run cold, after crackling through your bones, and tears fall like ash upon your clothes..”

Written in Montauk, New York and recorded in Hackney, London, Dan was joined by Romeo Stodart (Magic Numbers), Henry Spenner, Laurie Earle, Gabriel Stebbing (Metronomy/Nightworks), Johnny Flynn and Horse. The album was produced by Ash Workman (Metronomy/Francois and the Altas Mountains) and Dan Michaelson.
