Forthcoming Event: The Ghost Box present Belbury Youth Club (Wed 31st Oct)

The Ghost Box will be hosting a somewhat mysterious evening of audio visual happenings at the Mono Café Bar in Glasgow this coming All Hallow’s Eve (more commonly known as ‘Halloween’).

The event will feature a selection of “forgotten sounds, television and public information.” Various artists’ from the Ghost Box label will be DJing on the night, including a live performance from the remarkable Pye Corner Audio (check all three volumes of the Black Mill Tapes for prime examples of how impressive PCY’s work really is).  An exhibition of  artwork by Ghost Box resident Julian House will also be on display during the course of the evening.

As everybody knows, we celebrate noise, hisss, hum and buzz.  The sounds not usually deemed fit for human Consumption.

We take nourishment from the decayed delays and twanged springs of ancient equipment.

On that note, prepare yourselves for what is sure to be an astonishing event like no other…
